Lobster is one of the favorite seafoods and many dishes using lobsters require that the flesh be removed from the shell and that can be a real pain. 

First of all you have to cook the lobster.  Make sure your water is boiling (salt or seasalt – make it as close to salt water).   Put the head in quickly, head first, into a boiling pot of water, and then submerge the rest of the body.  Boil rapidly for 5-15 minutes.  Allow the lobster to cool.

To remove lobster from the shell:

1.      Pull off the two large claws.

2.      Pull off the four pairs of small claws.

3.      Break the tail from the body.

4.      Using scissors, cut a single slit the entire length of the shell covering the under part of the tail and remove the flesh inside the tail in a whole, large piece.
